How it began

My love for everything digital began back in the day of getting my first game system, "Pong". This oversized cream coloured machine about the same size as the desktop i have now, was a fairly simple tennis game, but yet so new and so addictive. It featured the world's first ever graphics engine, physics engine and artificial intelligence, that people could play with in their homes. It was a step away from board games that everyone was so used to playing, and was considered by most to be a passing phase, nothing could surpass the joy of playing a good old board game with friends right? and that's when the gaming revolution began, for me anyway. Shortley after Pong, my dad got me an amstrad, which incidently is still sitting in my cupboard. More advanced games came, most of which were scrolling platform type games. This brought in games characters, storylines with scripts and dialogues into the industry aswell as game mascots.

Anyway, I don't have to carry on about how Atari came, or the war between Nintendo and Sega. What I would like to say is that, it was all in the name of Games! Different genres of gaming starting popping out from thin air; shooters, platforms, beat 'em ups (Street Fighter anyone?), role playing games. The gaming industry began to sub catergorise itself. This in turn would make gaming for a wider world and also catered for a more dedicated audience. Didn't you hear me say "I Love Games!!" ?

I've always liked art, and by art i mean all things created that look really great just as they are. For instance I think some cars are a work of art to be admired; the curves and styling of it, plus the interior and actual functionality all put in one, which is an art form in itself. Composition of everything that goes into a final piece from initial gfx and ideas to actual implementation. In all my time in manefesting these ideas, they don't really seem to come out quite as I had expected. I've noticed other artist's work too, they have a natural talent for ambience and making things flow in harmony. For instance, I appreciate, like everyone else, the love for music, and a few of my friends are producers. How they make their work flow and come together is truly amazing and inspiring to say the least, and you can really see the blood sweat and tears that has gone into everyone one of these master pieces. Much like how most pieces have been made, and will continus to be made.

I first started webbing when I was about 14 back in secondary school in 1995, I still have my first site on geocities somewhere, and surprised it's actually still there. Well it's not the very first version, it's a revamped version, but I still remember my first one. Even now I don't really think my styles of my sites have changed that dramatically, but then again there's not really much you can change about a site layout to make it function the same, apart from when it's made in flash. I've had a go at making sites in flash, but I prefer making small animations with it, although in turn using those animations for animated buttons. This is about the same time when I started getting into Fireworks and Photoshop to make my images look a little more snazzy, and I've been hooked on them since then, still learning on both though as new versions come out.
